2012 AQHA Trail Ride Information Online
The Scenic View Ranch in Monona, Iowa will be the site of the 2012 AQHA Trail RIde hosted by IQHA District 2. The event will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2012. There will be several trail rides, a potluck lunch, a trail challenge course jackpot, and an evening hog roast. |

Mayflower Show Silent Auction to Benefit Bob Smith
A Silent Auction will be held on Friday evening, May 4th, during the Mayflower Show in Des Moines to benefit Bob and Becky Smith of LaPorte City. Bob recently broke his C6 vertebrae after being thrown from his horse. Bob has undergone two surgeries to repair the damage and remains hospitalized. The silent auction will be held to assist with expenses. If you have an item or service that you would like to donate please contact Jenna Parmater or Amanda Smith. Monetary donations are accepted at Veridian Credit Union Branches in Waterloo, Cedar Falls, Independence/Oelwein/Waverly, Cedar Rapids/Iowa City/Coralville, and Des Moines. |

Records Broken at Iowa Futurities
In one of the richest combined futurities on record, the Breeders Cup Halter Futurity, the World Conformation Horse Association, and the Iowa Quarter Horse Association combined to pay out over $500,000 in winnings Sep 22-25, 2011, at the Iowa State Fairgrounds in Des Moines, IA.
