IQHA State Show Gets New Look, New Format, New Nickname and New Classes!
The IQHA State Show, (dubbed the "Mayflower Circuit"), has been expanded to 6 judges over 4 days, May 3-6, 2012 at the Jacobson Arena. A flat fee of $235 covers your stall, entries, and all fees (except dual approved). Tack stalls and stalls for non-showing horses are $100. Added classes include: NSBA dual approved, over fence, reining, barrels, poles, and ranch horse pleasure. New activities include a team tournament, exhibitor parties, and a cowboy mounted shooting demonstration. The show bill will be posted shortly, but click here for the "Save The Date" flyer. |

AQHA Incentive Fund Updates
First, stallion nominations for the 2012 breeding season have been extended to January 16. Second, an Incentive Fund nominated horse who will be showing in 2012 will need to purchase a $50 license in order to receive Incentive Fund money for the points earned (open and amateur). Records Broken at Iowa Futurities
In one of the richest combined futurities on record, the Breeders Cup Halter Futurity, the World Conformation Horse Association, and the Iowa Quarter Horse Association combined to pay out over $500,000 in winnings Sep 22-25, 2011, at the Iowa State Fairgrounds in Des Moines, IA.
